The Fortfield Hotel in Sidmouth, privately owned by Andrew & Martine Torjussen, is currently closed pending major redevelopment.
Consultations are presently taking place with the East Devon District Council Planners, which, it is hoped, will result in a full planning application being submitted later this year.
